Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir at Faith church is open to anyone jr. high age and up. There are two basic requirements to a part of this ministry. The first is spiritual, the second musical.

Spiritually you need to have a sincere relationship with Jesus Christ. Whether a new Christian or a life-long one, our first goal and primary mission is to communicate God's love and power through music, and that can only be done when those singing truly love the Lord. You don't have to know the Bible front to back, or to "have it all together" as the saying goes. Being a Christian doesn't mean problems go away - it does mean however that you are never alone, God is always there. If you are already a part of the choir, or should you decide to try it, you will discover a group of people who truly care for each other and help each other. I know from personal experience this is true.

Musically, the only real requirements are that you have the ability to stay on pitch with other singers and be willing to accept instruction with grace. The choir currently is made up of some people who can read music and others who learn by ear. Therefore for virtually all choir numbers practice audio files are available on-line on the choir audio files page.

Normal rehearsal times are Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. during the "school" year, from September through the beginning of June.

On Sundays the choir is singing we warm up at 8:30 a.m. sharp and mainly sing during the first service at 9 a.m. (Traditional Worship)
